Contract Period:
17th October 2011 – 30th June 2014.
Services provided by LCBS Dhaka:
- Training and arrange examination for Certification in ACCA for 6 (six) participants
- Training and arrange examination for Certification in CAT for 20 (twenty) participants
- The training delivered at PFF premises located at 1st 12-storied Government Office Building (7th Floor), Segunbagicha, Dhaka 1000.
- The training confirmed the world-wide standards set by ACCA.
LCBS believes that effective evaluation and regular student monitoring is key to exam success. Therefore, organisation has a rigorous structure to evaluate and monitor students:
1.Attendance Registers:
Student attendance is closely monitored. But the LCBS distinction is that the report relating to the student attendance is forwarded to TAs who subsequently communicates with students to bridge knowledge gaps caused by absence, if any. The TA would held one to one session and the student would be instructed in-between two lectures so that students get prepared in the meantime and join next lecture with topic knowledge that he missed out due to non-attendance. However, absence from class would be rigorously discouraged.
- Assessment Tabulation:
Topic wise participant assessment would be recorded in a tabular format so that student performance could be compared against overall learning outcomes and areas of weakness could be identified. The assessment would comprise primarily mock tests based on specific subject areas.
- Set Marking Standard:
Marking standards are set higher than standard pass rate. This enables lecturers and teaching assistants to target a higher performance standard where students would feel better prepared and the probability of students passing the examination would be higher.
- Report from TA :
TAs would report performance of each student each month. This would involve progress areas and possible avenues of improvement.
- Report from lecturer:
Moreover, on a monthly basis the LCBS Dhaka would also report to the DMTBF project with particular attention towards students’ integrity, willingness to learn and capacity to digest lessons. Lecturer would also report any problem areas to the DMTBF project as a client should be aware of.
Note that, the Organization will make reports available to suit the client’s needs or organization feels to bring in to the notice of the client. In such cases, the Service provider would provide report to the client as and when needed on any aspect of the tuition and support services which includes but is not limited to the above.
